Is this AI character generator free to try?

Yes, up to the preview. You see your character on the cover and first pages before spending anything more, and if you'd rather stop there, nothing more is charged. You only spend more credits if you approve the rest of the book, and there's no subscription to cancel.

Can it make a cartoon, anime or 3D character of my child?

Yes. For a cartoon character from a photo, choose Flat Vector or Crayon; for anime, choose Anime; and for a 3D animated-film look, choose 3D Pixar-style. Watercolour, Oil Paint, Digital Painting, Pencil Sketch and Storybook Classic give a painted or hand-drawn finish instead. The AI character generator works from the same photo for all of them.

How long until I see my character?

The story is written in a minute or two, and then the cover and first 3 pages are illustrated for your preview. After you approve it, the rest of a 12, 24 or 32-page book takes about 4, 8 or 11 minutes.

What if my character doesn't look quite right?

Use the preview. Send a short note, such as "curlier hair, darker eyes", and the cover and first 3 pages are redrawn for the same cost as the preview. On a finished book, you can redraw any single page for the cost of one page, or fix any page's text.

Can I download my character as an image?

Not as a separate picture. The AI character generator draws your character into the book itself, so you read it online or download the whole book as a print-ready PDF, which is the only download format.

Whose photos can I upload?

Photos of your own family and pets are fine. To upload a child's photo, you must be 18 or over and be the child's parent or guardian, or have their permission.

What happens to the photos afterwards?

Photos are kept while your account is open. Deleting a story removes its photos, text and illustrations from storage straight away, though backups may hold them briefly, and deleting your account removes everything.
